Hi everyone.

We pray that you all are doing well, and that you know the peace of God in these chaotic days. We thank you for your ongoing prayers as we continue to adapt to the changing times.

One of the significant changes we faced this week, with the new COVID-19 restrictions, is that we are not able to put out our Christmas Kettles for the next four weeks. This means that we will need to raise our kettle funds differently this year.
One of the ways we are doing that is through virtual kettles. We have one set up for Living Hope, but we encourage you to set your own kettle up at www.fillthekettle.com.

This will give you the opportunity to share it on Facebook and Twitter, as well as with everyone on your contact list.
Our Christmas Kettles, throughout the country, support the practical needs of families who are struggling, providing food, clothing, shelter, and programming.

Particularly for Living Hope, the funds allow us to support and connect with our community through the family movie night and summer barbecue, as well as supporting the Barbara Mitchell Family Resource Centre.
Christmas Kettles  Christmas Kettles start this week and need lots of help. If you are able to work a kettle, pick up at the end of the day, count money, or recruit volunteers,
please email our coordinator Renzel Villegas at Renzel.villegas@salvationarmy.ca

Christmas Bible Study
Majors Steven & Corinne Cameron will be hosting a bible study over the next four weeks, starting Thursday, Nov. 26 at 7 p.m

Please join us for a four week Advent Bible study entitled “Christmas in the Four Gospel Homes.” In a season when visiting in people’s homes is not possible, we will be invited into the home of each gospel and encounter the unique way each of the gospel writers encountered Jesus and provides home from Jesus being Emmanuel, God with us.

Each evening will include an opening carol and will close with a time of prayer.
Look under the Welcome page for the  details

Youth Alert!
PARENTS – Each week, I will be sending out a link to our Sunday School at home curriculum. This link includes a teaching video for the appropriate age, and a download that gives you an activity and some guided questions to help your children learn and grow in their faith. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me. This curriculum is what we will be using when we get back together, so now is a great time for you to test it out with your kids!

Here is a great article on sharing your faith through personal evangelism. Take some time to read through it and equip yourselves to share the your faith with those around you who don’t know Jesus. Click Here
  • We have decided to end the weekly virtual coffee break. Thank you to those who have participated in it.
  • Also, don’t forget you can still make your cartridge donations. You can give online at Salvationist.ca, mail your cheque in to 51 Morrow Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2M 1A5, or sign up for pre-authorized payment (talk to Major Kris for help with this).

The Missionary Group is in need of clothing for mailing. If you are sorting your summer clothes please consider giving us any gently used men’s, children’s and baby clothes that you will not be using next season. Any new toothbrush, toothpaste, soaps, pens, pencils, would be a great help too. Thank you.
