Living Hope Community Church- Visitors

Everyone is welcome.

Who are we?

People that worship at Living Hope come from all walks of life, all ages and diverse backgrounds. Whoever you are, you are welcome to join us.

What should I expect?

You’ll find that we are friendly. If you don’t understand something, please just ask. Our worship service begins at 10:30am on Sunday and consists of both classic hymns and modern songs. We worship together as families, but after a short time the kids and youth go to their own groups for Bible teaching. We also have a nursery for the little ones. Our pastor then presents a talk from the Bible that is relevant and meaningful to our lives. There is an opportunity to pray with a Pastor or Church Member if you wish. Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time or have been a Christian for many years that you will be encouraged and inspired by the morning service. We hope that everyone will draw closer to God.

When should I arrive?

Give yourself a little time so that we can say hello. If it’s your first visit then it’s probably best to arrive about 20 or so minutes before the start of the service. You’ll be greeted at the door by our welcoming team who will give you some information about the church and notices of upcoming events.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are an informal church and accept people as they are.

What we believe:

We are a Christian church and believe that all can have a relationship with God. We believe this relationship with God is possible because of Jesus (God’s only son) who invites us to follow him. If you are interested in exploring the Christian faith then please join us on a Sunday or contact the office to ask for a free booklet. Also, see our Doctrine and our Values page.

Is it just Sundays?

Absolutely not! God is with us all week long and we aim to lead lives pleasing to him. We’re not perfect and we do make mistakes, but we desire to make a positive difference in everything we do. To further encourage us, we have a variety of small groups (a small group is a meeting of a few people with common interests). Small groups are a great way to get to know others in the church and to be real with each other about everyday living.

For those with disabilities:

We aim to be an all inclusive church and try to provide for our current attendees. Our premises are accessible for those with disabilities. We have a wheelchair accessible washroom, an elevator, and reserved parking spaces near the entrance. If you wish to discuss specific needs, please contact the church office.

Our Mission & Vision

The mission of Community Bible Church is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
